“In the Latin Church the pipe organ is to be held in high esteem, for it is the traditional musical instrument which adds a wonderful splendor to the Church’s ceremonies and powerfully lifts up man’s mind to God and to higher things.” – Sacrosanctum concilium, Vatican Document on Divine Worship.

The Wicks Pipe Organ

The pipe organ was salvaged from a Baptist church in Alabama and installed by the Wicks Organ Company.

With over 1200 pipes, it is an impressive instrument to aid in the divine worship of Our Lady of the Rosary Church.

On Church Music

St. Paul says “Sing among yourselves with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs.” St. Augustine says, “When you sing you pray twice.” Music is a unique gift of Christian worship and we are blessed with a fine organ and an very talented music director to lead our praise and worship.
